Email summaries, call records and Google Calendar booking
Your receptionist sends call details by email and app push, keeps call records in your dashboard, and can book into Google Calendar. You can also choose to collect appointment requests for a callback.
- Email and app pushReceive a summary, urgency tag, transcript and recording after each call.
- Dashboard recordsReview calls, recordings, transcripts, usage and settings in one place.
- Calendar bookingBook appointments into Google Calendar or gather details for your team's callback.

Email and app push notifications bring your team the call summary, urgency tag, transcript and recording. A daily digest email gives you another way to review the day's calls. Your dashboard holds the call records alongside usage and settings.
For appointments, choose booking into Google Calendar or intake for a callback. A request to book a vomiting cat, for example, can become details for your team to review instead of a calendar entry. Try a fictional appointment request in the browser call demo to hear the intake before choosing your workflow.
Our status with the practice software you use
We do not yet have direct connections to ezyVet, AVImark, Cornerstone, Vetspire or Shepherd. Tell us which system your clinic uses and which call details your team needs to enter there.
- ezyVet and AVImarkNeither has a direct connection available at launch.
- Cornerstone and VetspireYour team enters relevant call information into these systems manually.
- Shepherd and other systemsTell us your software and the task you want supported.

ezyVet, AVImark, Cornerstone (IDEXX), Vetspire and Shepherd are not directly connected to Vet Answering Line. Digitail and Vetstoria are not directly connected either. A call summary is information your staff can use, rather than an automatic update to a practice record.
If your clinic relies on one of these tools, describe the work a connection would need to do. Booking an appointment and adding a refill request are different tasks. Share your software and the relevant task through our contact page so your request describes the actual work at your desk.
Use call summaries alongside your practice software
Your staff can review the caller's message, then enter the relevant details into your practice software. Choose callback intake when your team needs to check its own appointment schedule before offering a time.
- Review the messageRead the summary and check the transcript when details need context.
- Enter relevant detailsYour staff adds the call information to your own practice records.
- Return booking callsCollect appointment requests for staff to check against the clinic's schedule.

A refill request can arrive as a message for your staff to review and enter in the appropriate record. The receptionist takes the request; it does not approve medication or give dosing advice. Your clinical team decides the next step.
For appointments, callback intake lets your staff check the schedule they already use. If you choose Google Calendar booking, account for that separate calendar in your daily routine. During setup, make a test call and review the resulting message with the people who handle callbacks. See the setup process before deciding which calls to forward.
Connection priorities follow clinic demand
We plan direct connections according to demand from clinics. Tell us the software name, the information you need moved and the task it would help your team complete; no release date is promised.
- Name your softwareTell us which practice system your clinic currently uses.
- Describe the taskExplain whether you need appointment booking, message entry or another workflow.
- Plan for today's toolsEvaluate the available features before relying on a future connection.

Clinic demand guides which direct connections we plan. A useful request names both the software and the work: for example, getting appointment requests into the place your staff already checks. Explain what your team has to copy from a call message today.
We cannot offer a release date for a requested connection. Make your buying decision using the current email notifications, dashboard and Google Calendar booking option. You can request a free trial, then assess those features during your trial with your clinic's intake questions and callback process before deciding whether they meet your needs.
Questions and answers
Can it book appointments in my practice software?
Appointment booking is available in Google Calendar. We do not yet offer direct booking in your practice management system. If your team needs to check its existing schedule first, choose appointment request intake and use the call details to arrange a callback.
How do I get messages into our patient records?
Your staff reviews the call summary and enters relevant information into your practice software. The transcript and recording provide context when a message needs checking. These records are available through the dashboard, with an email and app push notification after each call.
Can I keep my clinic's phone number?
Yes, you can keep the number callers already use and forward calls to your receptionist. Choose all calls or only busy, unanswered or after-hours calls. We provide a local number, a forwarding guide for your carrier or phone system, and a test call before going live.
Can it take refill requests without a software connection?
Yes, your receptionist can take a refill request as a message for your team. Staff can review the summary and enter the details into your own system. The receptionist does not authorize refills, diagnose a pet's condition or give medication or dosing advice.
Will a future connection be included in my trial?
Your trial covers the features available during that trial; direct practice software connections are planned according to demand. There is no promised release date for a particular system. During that trial, evaluate call intake, the messages your team receives and the available booking workflow.
Will callers know they are speaking to AI?
Yes, the greeting identifies your receptionist as a virtual assistant and tells the caller the call is recorded. Both notices stay on. You can hear that introduction in the browser demo, then check your own clinic's greeting and intake with a test call during setup.
